Why Sacred Doesn’t Mean Serious

Your joy is part of your healing — not a distraction from it.

Why Sacred Doesn’t Mean Serious

Subtitle

You can pray and cuss in the same breath.
You can cry while laughing.
You can do deep ancestral work in fuzzy socks with trap music on in the background.

Because sacred doesn’t mean scripted — and it definitely doesn’t mean serious all the time.

EXPANDED INSIGHT:

There’s this unspoken pressure in spiritual spaces to act like we’re in a temple at all times.

You know what I’m talking about:

  • Voice lowered to a whisper
  • Movements slow and reverent
  • Everything saged, polished, and crystal-aligned

But healing is messy.
Healing is real.
Healing happens in between diaper changes and deadlines.
Healing sometimes looks like laughing until you pee — and then crying ten minutes later.

And all of that? Is sacred.

Because the Divine doesn’t need you to be serious.
The Divine just needs you to be present.

You can heal while dancing.
You can process while watching a show that makes you feel safe.
You can invoke your ancestors and still laugh so hard you snort.

Spirit isn’t offended by your joy.
Spirit celebrates it.

TIE TO PURPOSEFUL TRANSFORMATIONS:

In the Wisdom-Wired™ journey, you’re not expected to perform healing.
You’re invited to embody it — in a way that’s honest for you.

That’s why:

  • Our workbook makes room for laughter and tears
  • Our keychains are tools you can wear to brunch or use in meditation
  • Our practices are fluid — they meet you wherever you are

There is no one way to be sacred.
Your path might include:

  • Netflix and flower baths
  • Journaling on napkins
  • Cry-laughing with your spirit team
  • Twerking and praying within the same 30 minutes

And all of it counts.

That’s why this isn’t just a brand.
It’s a movement — one that lets your real life be the altar.

PRACTICE: “Laugh as a Ritual” Reset

You’ll need:

  • A funny video, show, or memory
  • A candle or something small to hold (optional)
  • 10–15 minutes of space to be playful

Steps:

  1. Watch, recall, or experience something that makes you laugh.
    (Yes, seriously.)
  2. Let yourself laugh without shame. Don’t mute it. Don’t dim it.
  3. After you’re done, whisper:
    • “This joy is sacred. My laughter is a release. My light is holy.”
  4. Breathe it in. Let it linger.

🖊️ Journal Prompt:
When did I start believing sacred had to be serious?
And what does my soul want to do with joy again?

Where Do I Go From Here?

You don’t need to be serious to be spiritual.
You just need to be present.
