The Compass Was in Me All Along

After years of people-pleasing, I finally remembered what my own “yes” felt like.

I used to ask everyone else what I should do.
I polled my friends. I read the signs. I second-guessed every choice.

Until Spirit reminded me:

“The compass isn’t out there.
It’s in your chest — you just stopped listening.”

EXPANDED INSIGHT:

There was a time in my life when I was so afraid of making the wrong decision that I made no decisions at all.

I shrank. I stalled.
I waited for permission, signs, validation, proof.

But no matter how many people I asked…
I still felt confused.
Because I was outsourcing clarity that could only come from inside me.

That’s what Chapter 4 taught me:

  • That alignment isn’t always loud
  • That clarity doesn’t always feel like a lightning bolt — sometimes it feels like peace
  • And that my intuition doesn’t need approval to be trusted

I stopped asking “What would they do?”
And I started asking… “What would I do if I trusted myself?”

The answers weren’t always easy.
But they were mine.

TIE TO WISDOM-WIRED™ CHAPTER 4: THE COMPASS

This chapter is about energetic clarity.
It’s not just about “intuition” — it’s about learning to act on it.

In this chapter, you:

  • Stop outsourcing your yes
  • Start noticing your internal nudges
  • Learn how your body says “this is for me” — and “this is not”
  • Make peace with disappointing others so you can finally stop abandoning yourself

The Compass Key is your anchor for this work.

It includes:

  • Fluorite for mental clarity
  • Tiger’s Eye for courage + energetic discernment
  • Bay leaf + yarrow for spiritual direction + boundary holding
  • A scroll that says:

“You already know. You’ve always known.”

This key doesn’t tell you what to do — it reminds you that you know.

PRACTICE: Find Your Yes — Compass Activation

You’ll need:

  • A journal
  • A decision you’ve been holding
  • Your Compass Key (or a quiet space to reflect)

Steps:

  1. Close your eyes and breathe. Hold the decision in your mind.
  2. Ask your body:
    • “When I think about saying yes… what do I feel?”
    • “When I think about saying no… what do I feel?”
  3. Listen for tension, ease, heat, or flutter — these are signs.
  4. In your journal, write:
What does a full-body “yes” feel like to me?
And where in my life have I been ignoring it?

Let this become your practice: noticing what’s real before seeking answers outside of yourself.

Where Do I Go From Here?

You don’t need another reading, another opinion, or another push.

You need to remember:
You are the compass.
You are the clarity.
You are the one who knows.
